On thre contrary I do like the game which is why I'm giving my thoughts here to begin with rather than just going to play something else. What in the world are you going on about? At no point did I try and speak for everyone and I never said I disliked the game. I personally like developers' approach to this, you don't 1:1. If you think that everyone should be potentially attracted to everyone disregarding their own personality, then okay it's your right to believe that such thing makes characters better. Developers have their own vision and it would be very silly to change it for EVERY person, who SMASHES his shift button. If you don't like the game - don't buy it or even better make your own. Again it's just your opinion and that's it. Two things, you have no authority to speak for everyone, second it's not a fact. None of that is opinion it's basic fact that this kind of thing doesn't exist on a binary scale. Acting as if as if player enjoyment must be sacrificed in exchange is simply silly because is flat out not true. One does not contradict the other and having a balance between the two does not mean flat boring characters as you keep trying to claim. They CAN have believable well written characters and they CAN respect that it's a game and that it needs to be enjoyable for players and balance things as such.

It is entirely possible for the devs to balance writing interesting developed characters while still balancing that with the fact that it's a game and player enjoyment and playability matters as well. Well made believable characters are much better than just dolls to please player's desires. Realism is great and I'm all for the point of having representation in the game but at the same time fun should always trump realism and I think having things a bit more fluid in terms of that kind of thing so that the player always feels like they have options and aren't feeling limited due to a rigid design set up would be more enjoyable. Or where all the characters the player would want to romance don't match at which point it ends up feeling kind of like "well screw me I guess" which just leaves the player feeling unsatisfied with the options available to them. Like ending up where if your character is female and into girls then they are stuck with the one lesbian character and it's a choose this or nothing situation. Sure it's realistic but at the same time this is a game and that kind of design can often end up extremely limiting from the players perspective.
